Denise Rowe leds a rep workshop of her work This Body, 30th April 2009 7.30-9.15pm

PLEASE COME FOR REGISTRATION AT 7PM.

In this session, Denise will lead a repertoire class of her piece This Body, a 5 minute movement solo, performed with live music from kalimba, vocals and percussion. A lyrical contemporary exploration of one body’s meeting with the inherent wisdom of pan-African dance, This Body has grown out of immersion into the world of the Zimbabwean Spirit instrument, mbira, creative improvisations and movement explorations by the river Dart on Dartmoor national park. An expression of the fluctuating truths of one life’s journey, This Body is delicate, moving and honest, a message from the soul.

There will be a 15 minute Q&A session as part of this workshop. Cost £13 annual registration fee and £3 for class thereafter. Non members pay £8.
